57589 William O. Druliner (Bill or "Dru") passed away peacefully at his home in Holmen, WI on May 20, 2020. He was born June 18, 1949 to Howard and Mary Druliner at St. Ann's Hospital in Bangor, WI. Bill was a proud grandson of the founder of Hussa Brewing Company of Bangor. In 1957, the family moved to La Crosse, where he attended 2nd through 12th grade. He was fortunate to be part of the Class of 1967, the last year at Old Central High. In 1970, he completed WWTC's LPN program as the program's third male graduate. Active in both WALPN & NFLPN throughout 1970's, he was also appointed to the State Board of Nursing in 1973 as the board's first male member.
After 14 years as a nurse for La Crosse County and Bethany St Joseph, Bill left nursing to start Dru Enterprises. In 1982, Bill was named to the Mayor's Council on Housing and began serving as President of the La Crosse Area Apartment Owners Association. He continued working on his apartment rentals, yard care, snow removal and remodeling projects until 2020.
Bill was an active member of North Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, where he served as a deacon and elder. He was a 32 year member of Masonic Lodge 45 and Scottish Rite.
On August 8, 2008 Bill married the love of his life, Renee Shuda, 37 years after their first date. He was a lifelong Packer fan, as well as an avid fan of Dodge cars and trucks. While he owned many Dodge trucks for plowing, his pride and joy was his 1966 Dodge Charger.
Bill was preceded in death by his his parents and grandparents (both Hussa and Druliner); sisters Gretchen & Karen (Druliner) Lampinen and stepbrother Howard Hill; uncles Maurice Druliner and Maurice, Emil & Owen Hussa; aunts Gretchen, Lillian & Helen Hussa, Ruth Druliner & Olive Graham; cousin Ann Quirk; and nephew Ben Lampinen.
