Editor's Note: David Archer Arndt (1831-1915) is the brother of Charles William Arndt Jr. who was married to Mary Elizabeth nee Trullinger and are the parents of Dakota Arndt. David's son is Dr. Howard Ward Arndt (1872-1942) who authored the affidavit stating that Catherine Irene nee Burcher was the out of wedlock daughter of Dakota nee Arndt.
