- Patricia Ann Zemlicka, 72, of Fort Madison, passed away at 3:33 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1953 in Fort Madison to Willis L. and Leota D. McVey Holland. She married Thomas Drollinger; they later divorced. She married James A. Zemlicka on April 16, 2002 at the Botanical Gardens in St Louis, Mo..
She worked at TG&Y, was the office manager at Paul Electric and lastly for the City of Fort Madison as the Planning & Zoning director. She was a member of the Fort Madison United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering there. She was a former member of the Fort Madison Soroptimist Club and also worked at the Fort Madison Food Pantry. She enjoyed gardening, visiting botanical gardens, going to truck shows with her husband, Jim, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her husband, Jim Zemlicka of Fort Madison; two sons, Leith (Arpi) Drollinger of Sylmar, Calif. and Brady (Stefanie) Drollinger of West Point; a step son, Andy Zemlicka of Montrose; sux grandchildren: Jerome, Judy and John Zemlicka, Liam, Jenson and Aiden Drollinger; two sisters, Karen (Bob) Brannon of Denton, Texas and Cindy (Ron) Gjerstad of O'Fallon, Mo. and a sister-in-law, Patty Holland of Olathe, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents, a stepson Chris Wolfskill and a brother, Hoyt Holland.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025 with the family to receive friends from 4-6 p.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. She will be cremated following the visitation. The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Nancy St. Clair officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Fort Madison United Methodist Church or the Fort Madison Food Pantry.
