      The marriage record of Gilbert and Priscilla is recorded abt. 1821,but also December 18, 1827 at Rutherford County, North Carolina.Tradition says that Gilbert died with pneumonia on a trip he andPriscilla took to Missouri in 1853. He is buried in Ozark, Missouriin the Herndon Cemetery. Before their trip west they lived first inRutherford County, North Carolina, USA. In the 1840s they lived inSpartanburg, South Carolina, USA, and in the 1850s they moved toMcMinn County, Tennessee, USA.
      Gilbert and his brother Thomas (thought to be a twin to William) losttheir property in a land sale at the courthouse in Rutherford County,North Carolina, USA around 1833. Gilbert then moved his family to benear his mother, Anna Webber (after Henry Dye) died she married CasperWebber) to Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA.
      When he moved to McMinn County, Tennessee, USA, he resided near hisother brother, John.
