David was born in Palo Pinto County, the son of John and Genevieve (Smith) Trollinger. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School and was a lifelong resident of Mineral Wells. He knew just about everyone in Mineral Wells, and could strike up a conversation with anyone he passed by. After a few minutes, you would of thought you had known him for a while. He worked in the construction industry and could take care of just about anything he set off to do. David leaves behind wife, Patricia Trollinger; and brothers, James and Lester Trollinger.
He was preceded by his parents; one sister, Johnieve Winscot; and three brothers, Bobby, Virgil and Dale Trollinger.
