      Mother of Mrs. A.A. Potter who died in Durango, will be buried here A former resident

      The funeral of Mrs. James Burtner of Durango Colorado, who died at her home last Friday, will be held from the Southern Funeral Home today at one o'clock, Rev. D.H.Fisher, pastorof the First Presbyterian church here will speak the funeral sermon.
      Mrs. Burtner's daughter, Mrs. A.A. Potter, and Dean Potter of Purdue University are here for the services.
      Emma Drollinger was born in Pittsburg, PA, 1856 and at the time of her death was 70 years of age. At the age of 21 she was married to James Burtner in Butler County Pennsylvania. She and Mr. Burtner came to Kansas in the late 70s and for a time lived in the Blue River valley near Garrison, they then moved eight miles east of Manhattan, on the Kaw, where they lived for 20 years. In 1898 the Burtners moved to a farm a few miles south of Manhattan and lived there for nine years.
      In 1907 they made Bayfield Colorado their home, later moving to Durango where they have lived for the past eight years.
      Mrs. Burtner is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Grace Wilmers of Alamosa Cols., and Mrs. Eva Potter of Layfayette Ind. and a son William Burtner of Durango.
      Burial will be in the Sunset cemetery, where a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Sargent, and a son, James now lie.
