  • Notes
    • History of Butler County, 1886 mentions "...Drollinger carried on (Nathan) Skeer's tavern until it burned down, when he erected a new building." Died In Hannahstown, on the 31st ult., Mr Jacob Drollinger aged 50 years; his death was caused by burns received at the conflagration of his nephew, Gustav Drollinger's premises. Butler County Whig Wed April 9, 1851

Uncle Jacob perished as a result of the fire which burned down the first tavern in the County. He is probably buried in nearby St Luke's graveyard although there was no stone. The sexton's records are long lost so there is no way to confirm a burial. Jacob either went or was sent by his nephew to the County Court house in 1847 to take the oath of intention for citizenship. He was listed as head of family in the 1850 but owned no real estate.
