    • Burbaugh?Samuel Jonas, son of Conrad and Magdalene Burbaugh, was born in Claridon township, Marion county, O., March 25, 1846, and died at his home on the county line between Hardin and Marion counties, April 17, 1899, aged fifty-three years and twenty-two days. He was baptized July 16, 1849, and was converted and united with the M. E. church in 1871, since which time he has been an earnest and devoted christian. January 17, 1871, he was united in marriage to Barbara Weist. Of this union, nine children were born, of whom Anna and Lena preceeded the father to that better land. Brother Burbaugh was an excellent citizen, an earnest and devoted christian and an ideal father and husband. He leaves an aged mother, two brothers, a wife and seven children and many other relatives to mourn his departure. The funeral services were held at Montgomery church, conducted by F. E. Highle, assisted by Rev. Wm. Morris. Interment was made in LaRue cemetery.
