    • Nedra Dean Tinker, 75, of Kiefer, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa.
      Visitation will be on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.
      Funeral services will be on Monday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Chapel with Randy Parks and J.P. Hackler officiating. Private burial will follow.
      Pallbearers are Jimmy Garrison, Junior Johnson, Daniel Parks, Shawn Tinker, Michael Tidwell and Steve Tinker.
      The family asks, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Shriner Hospitals, which can be done through the Akdar Shrine website.
      Nedra Tinker was born on January 15, 1944, in Indianola, to J.B. and Lillian (Garrison) Orr. She grew up in Crowder and graduated from Crowder High School with the Class of 1962.
      Nedra was a devoted wife and mother but had also worked at Crowder School and at the Pittsburg County Courthouse as deputy court clerk.
      Nedra, known as "Nana" to her family, loved family gatherings and loved to cook for everyone. She and Ed Tinker were married on June 21, 1983, and Nedra was a member of Central Christian Church.
      She is survived by her husband, Ed, of the home; children, Shari Tidwell and husband, Michael, of Tulsa, Steven Shannon, of McAlester, Shawn Tinker, of Crowder, and Nicole Parks and husband, Daniel, of Bixby; grandchildren, Kristin, Kirby and Khloe Shannon, of Tulsa, Taylor Saunders, of Tulsa, Mary Tidwell, of Tulsa, Rylee Parks, of Bixby, and Cookson Parks, of Bixby, and great-grandchildren, Bay and Maple Saunders, of Tulsa. Also, sisters, Carolyn Wilkins and husband, Brad, of McAlester, Brenda Granzow and husband, Randy, of Edmond, and Sue Ann Harmon and husband, Anthony; a brother, Kendall Young, of McAlester, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Darren James Shannon.
