      STICK, Eunice (Jessup)
      1927 Nov 25 - Ridgeville Paper
      Obit: Eunice Jessup Stick, daughter of Oliver and Deliverance Barnes Jessup, was born in Hamilton county, near Cincinnati, Ohio, in the year of 1853, February 14. When she was about 14 years of age she with her parents moved near New Pittsburg, Indiana, where she spent several years of her life.
      Among her acquaintances in this vicinity there way one was united in holy wedlock with her, January 27, 1876, and sharing the joys and the sorrows of life together, she with Samuel Stick, started that divine institution commonly known as a home, near New Pittsburg later moving to Ridgeville.
      To this union were born the following children: Orville, Francis Marion, Edgar Harold, Moses, Hallie Laverna. Orville, of Wabash, Ind.,the eldest, and the youngest, Hallie Laverna, of Ridgeville, are the only surviving children.
      Her husband having preceded her, she also leaves to mourn the loss, the following: two grandchildren, Marie and Clarence Drollinger; two sisters, Emma Lyons and Etta Fowler of New Pittsburg.
      About thirty years ago she and her husband were converted in a series of meetings in Praise Chapel that were conducted by Rev. Samuel Speck, and united in faith with the Church of God and remained in that faith until the end came November 20, 1927.
      She was always a kind and loving mother, grandmother and sister.
      Always ready to sacrifice for the welfare of others.
      Living a quiet and unassuming life.
      She sleeps, she sleeps and never more will her footsteps fall by the old home door,
      Nor her voice be heard with its loving tone,
      By the lone ones left round her own hearth stone,
      She has gone, she has gone to her home afar,
      To the beautiful land where the angels are,
      As the time flies on, dear mother,
      We will miss you more and more;
      But still it brings us near the day,
      When we shall meet to part no more.
