  	"Mrs. Martha Patton, one of West Central Indiana's oldest residents, died early Monday morning, Oct. 1, in the Rudisill Nursing Home, Second St., Covington. She was 96 years old. Born May 16, 1866 south of Veedersburg, she was the youngest child of a large family born to John and Rachael Chumlea Bonebrake. She attended the old Dice school near Veedersburg. She married Morton Patton Dec. 23, 1883. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary two months before Mr. Patton's death, Feb. 2, 1951. She was a resident of the Prairie Creek community for many years and was a member of the Prairie Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Patton is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Vall Thomas of Kingman; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body was brought to the Woodrow Funeral Home here where friends called. Funeral services were conducted at the funeral home at 2 o'clock this afternoon, Oct. 3. The Rev. Harry Hybarger officiated and burial was in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown."
