December 19, 2022:
Charles "Chuck" B. Warren, 93, passed gently after a fall on December 19th 2022. Born in Washington state,
the son of Bertram B and Ella Mae "Maesie" (Curtis) Warren, he was raised in New York state and Westport, Connecticut.
He was predeceased by his lovely and talented wife Joanne (Scott) Warren after 69 years of happy marriage, and by a beloved daughter, Cindy Pozotrigo. He is missed by his daughter Holly and her husband Theodore "Ted" Heidenriech of
New Harbor, Maine; his son Scott Warren and his wife Catherine Plourde of St. George, Maine; his daughter Shelley and her husband James "Jim" Wieler of Meredith, New Hampshire.
Lovingly known as Opa, he and his wife "Omi" had nine grandchildren: Tedra (& Wayne) Leonard, Gretta (& Kevin) Kuebert, Giancarlo (& Michele Alphe) Pozotrigo, Sally (& Jake) Burbank, Abby Warren (& Will Traver), Grant (& Maura) Wieler, Jane Wieler (& Peter Eyvazzadeh), Patricia Mae "Maesie" Wieler-Reinhard (& Alex Reinhard), Scott Wieler (& Danielle Mooney). He will also be missed by seven great-grandchildren: Henry, Saylor, Charlie, Grace, Max, Javier and Paulette.
A graduate and class president of Staples High School in Westport, Connecticut, he earned BA and MBA degrees from
Cornell University, where he rowed on the national champion lightweight crew of 1949, was a member of ROTC with the Air Force, and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He served in the Air Force in Germany until 1954.
His career spanned many years in industrial advertising, including Norton Co, Bridgeport Machine Corp, and Markham Corporation, followed by a successful career with his own company in advertising specialties.
He contributed his time and energy as president of three business and professional advertising associations, founding a Northern New England chapter of PPAI.
Chuck loved outdoor activities and sports, raising his family with primitive camping, hiking, skiing, canoeing and cycling trips. He enjoyed pickup volleyball and his bowling team. He was an Odd Fellow and held several Town positions in Marlow, New
Hampshire, and contributed greatly to the organization and theatrical/recreational activities at Southgate in Shrewsbury, where his cheerful and kind presence will be missed.
A memorial service will be held at Southgate in Shrewsbury on January 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM, private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
