She was born December 14, 1922 in Ava, Missouri. She taught in a one-room school house in Missouri prior to moving to Idaho.
She met her husband, L.C. Dennis while working in the onion fields and they were married May 6th, 1944. Their two children: daughter, Glenda, and son, Larry, were their pride and joy.
They farmed and owned a gas station in Wilder prior to buying Andy's Motel and Gas Station in New Meadows in 1971. In 1982 they bought a motel in Florence, OR that her daughter's family managed. Her son and family also lived in Florence at the time. Shortly after that, they sold the business in New Meadows and joined their family in Oregon to enjoy their retirement.
They spent their retirement traveling all over the Oregon coast and enjoying their two granddaughters. In 1990 they took a vacation of a lifetime to Hawaii. She reminisced and talked about this trip very often.
