  	Mrs. Frances Robart, age 89, of Amelia Island passed away Friday evening, May 21, 2010 surrounded by her family at Osprey Village Assisted Living Facility. Mrs. Robart was born on May 26, 1920, the daughter of the late Francis and Zetta Robart in Baltimore, MD. After graduating high school in New Jersey, Mrs. Robart had many occupations, a ticket agent for Pan Am Airlines as well as a model for Lacrosse Sports wear. She was a world traveler, having residences in The Republic of Panama, Seattle, WA, as well as Berlin, Germany. While living in Gilroy, CA, on Palm Sunday in the spring of 1986, she met the love of her life, Breckinridge Stoddart. She moved to Hartford, CT before they both relocated to Amelia Island in 1989 and together spent the remaining years by each others side. Mrs. Robart was an excellent dessert chef and loved to entertain her friends. She also loved to play bridge and was a huge animal lover. Mrs. Robart was preceded in death by a daughter, Katie Rice, in 2002. She leaves behind her loving companion of over 25 years, Breckinridge Stoddart of Amelia Island. Her daughter, Jeanie Henderson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, two sons, Stephen Rice and his wife Ann of Rockville, MD, and John Douglass Rice of Berlin, Germany. Three grandchildren, Sean Rice, Blake Rice, and Lucille Rice and one great-grandchild, Logan Rice. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to the Nassau Humane Society, 671 Airport Road, Fernandina Beach, FL, 32034. Funeral services will be private.   According to her newspaper engagement announcement to Edward Garnett, she is identified as Frances Virginia Wells. Frances is identified as the daughter of Carveth Grant Wells and Zetta Trollinger in his newspaper funeral notice. Curiously, Frances was born in 1920 which is 12 years sooner than 1932 which is date Zetta and Carveth were married. According to her obituary Frances was "...born on May 26, 1920, the daughter of the late Francis and Zetta Robart...". Frances has a son whose name is Stephen Carveth Rice. Therefore, it is not clear if Francis Robart or Carveth Wells is her true biological father.
