- HUGH DAILY - is a son of Jesse and Mary (BILLINGS) DAILY, who were born in Pittsylvania county, Virginia. Their son Hugh was born September, 1837, and from that county he entered the army, enlisting May 15, 1861, in the Danville Battery. (CECIL) TRINKLE. Her father was accidentally killed while hunting deer in the mountains near Cloyds, on Back creek.
