Patricia (Patsy) O. Szmyd-Trollinger, of Springdale, left this lifefor eternity with the Lord on July 08, 2012 after a long illness withParkinson's disease. Patsy lived with amazing strength and dignitythroughout her illness.
She was born on September 5, 1946 in Chicago Illinois to Henry J. andPatricia Szmyd. Her family moved to Springdale in 1957 where Patsygraduated from Springdale High School began work at Ford Motor andlater First National Bank of Springdale. Her father Henry Szmydprecedes her in death.
She was united in marriage and is survived by her husband of 45 yearsDennis (Buddy) Trollinger. She is survived by two children; MarniTrollinger-Meeks, and husband Daniel of Tontitown; Joshua Trollingerand wife Brandi of Centerton, 5 grandchildren; Reheanna Meeks, Jaden,Brayden, Talia, & Moriah Trollinger. Patsy is also survived by hermother Patricia (Pat) Szmyd-Kus of Springdale, her aunt Monte RaeAdams of Springdale, four brothers, Johnny Szmyd of ParamountCalifornia; Douglas Szmyd of San Francisco, CA.; Gary Szmyd ofFayetteville; Stan Szmyd of Springdale and many nieces, nephews, andcousins. Patsy was active at First Baptist Church of Springdale untilher illness limited her mobility.
A memorial service, in her honor, will be Friday, July 13, 2012 at10:00 A.M. at the Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. The familyrequests memorials, in lieu of flowers, be made to the Michael J. FoxFoundation for Parkinson's Research or the Parkinson's DiseaseFoundation.
