- BURLINGTON - Mr. Harrell Richardson, 78, of 429 Jeffries Street, died May 3, 2016 at The Hospice Home.
He was the husband of Mrs. Virginia Trollinger Richardson, who survives, and the son of Mr. Floyd Richardson and Mrs. Myrtle Dortch Davis, both deceased.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia, of the home; two children, Melody Richardson-Porch and Gregory L. Richardson; siblings, Raymond Davis (Lavern), Betty Jean Davis, Vernon L. Davis, Vivian Thibou (Hugh), Iris Robinson, Gary Davis (Letecia), Lonnie Davis, Timothy Davis, and Hortense Smith; two grandchildren, Cameron Walton and Jai Harden; and five great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Joyce M. Jones and Bobby Richardson.
Public viewing will be Friday at Sharpe Funeral Home Inc. from 1 to 4 p.m.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at the church and at other times the family will be at the home.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Apple Street. The body will lie in state from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday prior to service. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
