Nicky was born January 20, 1939 in Minco, Oklahoma, the son of John R. and Lois (Rodgers) Sprowls. He passed away January 7, 2011 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Nicky graduated from Minco High School in 1957. He trained as a diesel mechanic. He was service manager for Wilson Battery in Amarillo, Texas, and served as general manager for AEI, Inc. in Oklahoma City. He was active in the diesel/fuel injection industry, serving on several national councils. Nick enjoyed raising cattle and retired from Grady County. He served on Minco City Council, Evergreen Cemetery Board and Grady County EMS Board. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Curtis Anderson; and granddaughter, Emma Sprowls. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Inga, of the home; son, David, Minco; and son, Nick and wife Julia, Rockwall, Texas; stepdaughter, Cammy McCoy and husband, Mike, Granbury, Texas; stepson, Vernon Delk and wife, Denise, Marlow; grandchildren: McKenzie and Jude; step-grandchildren: Caitlyn, Colton, Lindsey, and Freddie; sister, Janice Whitlow and husband, Gene, of Moore; stepmother, Eula Sprowls, Chickasha; mother-in-law, Lois Ned, Midwest City; brother-in-law, Brandon Ned and family, Tampa, Florida.
