  d/o Herman and Sara (Rosenbaum) Mahnken. From a family story in the ""Pioneers of Crook County" WY 1981 Margaret Mahnken came to the Spearfish Valley in South Dakota in 1880 from Missouri. After coming to Wyoming in 1884 she taught schools in Crook County for a number of years. She married on Christmas Eve 1890 to J.M. Rowser. Their home was on a ranch near Farrall for nearly 20 years. In 1910, they sold and moved to Stanwood, Iowa. Mr. Rowser died in October 1944 and she died in March 1945. Their children were Ruth, Edwin, Margaret and Melvin.
