She graduated from Lubbock Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1946 as a Registered Nurse. She married Lawrence Quinby Rupel Sept. 5, 1946 and had 2 children: Rosemarie & Larry. Lawrence died Nov. 28, 1948. She laster married Maurice E. Rupel & raised a family of 6 children. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Maurice; 3 daughters Rosemarie (Gary) Hirsch, Kay Bloedorn and Anne (Mark) DeMaria; 2 sons Patrick (Norma) Rupel and Raymond Rupel, D.O. & his wife Joanne Vitanza, M.D. She is also survived by 2 sisters Mildred Speer of Vernon, Texas and Virginia Whatley of Crowell, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, 2 brothers, 1 son Rev. Lawrence Rupel and 2 grandsons.
